LAHORE – *Pakistan’s wicket keeper batsman Kamran Akmal has responded backto the remarks made by the National Cricket team Coach Mickey Arthur. *
*Speaking about Pakistan team’s head coach Mickey Arthur’s recent commentsover Akmal’s place in Pakistan squad, the wicket keeper batsman was of theview that he’s still performing on the domestic circuit and will continueto do so.*
*“It may be true [that I have no place] in his [Arthur] view but I am stillplaying and putting in good performances. One’s cricket does not come to anend based on someone else’s say, so I hope to perform well in the upcomingPakistan Cup,” said Akmal.*
*However, Akmal didn’t shy away from criticizing Arthur over speaking abouthis fielding in the media, as he called on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)to look into this matter. “To say something like that before the media isnot good and PCB should check this,” he said.*
*Previously, Arthur had said that Akmal will not be selected into thenational squad unless his fielding improves.*
*He said he is in no mood to give up his hopes on returning tointernational cricket, as the Pakistan Super League (PSL) top performerbelieves that he still has a lot left in tank.*
“While some people talk about the end of my cricket career, I say that Ihave 3 to 4 years of cricket left in me,” he said while talking to localmedia.
