DHAKA- In Bangladesh, tens of thousands of university students marched incities across the country today, protesting against a controversial policythat sets aside government jobs for special groups.

It was one of the biggest protests faced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasinain her decade in power.

Demonstrators want the share of top government positions set aside forminority groups and the disabled significantly reduced.

They are also particularly irate over reserving thirty percent ofgovernment positions for descendents of veterans from 1971 war.
