KABUL – Atleast two militants were killed after a motorcycle packed withexplosives went off prematurely in eastern Laghman province of Afghanistan.

The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East said a group ofinsurgents were looking to detonate a Motorcycle-borne Improvised ExplosiveDevice in Alingar district on Saturday.

The source further added that the explosives went off before the militantsmanage to use for an attack, leaving at least two of them dead and twoothers wounded.

This comes as a local Taliban leader was killed along with another militantin a premature explosion triggered by an Improvised Explosive Device inthis province last week.
