*ISLAMABAD: *The government is working on forming a draft bill to replacethepresidential ordinance that permanently banned Jamatud Dawa (JuD), otherindividuals and groups on interior ministry’s watch list, *reported*link> alocal English newspaper.
The sources stated that this proposed bill to amend the Anti-Terrorism Act(ATA) 1997, was likely to be presented in the next session of the NationalAssembly, scheduled to commence on April 9.
The law ministry was involved in the process of shaping the proposed draftbill, the sources said, adding that military leadership was also on theboard.
The federal government has decided to develop the draft bill to change theATA as part of its damage-control efforts after the Financial Action TaskForce (FATF) approved a nomination proposal presented jointly by US,France, Germany and UK.
