ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is inviting the Irelandcricket team to tour Pakistan later this year. It is expected that Irelandteam would likely visit Pakistan.
Ireland are set to play their first-ever Test against Pakistan, which willstart from May 11 in Dublin.
PCB chairman Najam Sethi will be present at the venue for the historicevent.
Sethi will officially invite the Ireland cricket team for the tour ofPakistan during the match.
Ireland agreed to tour Pakistan in 2014, but later refused because of theattack on the Karachi airport.
Later, it were Zimbabwe who became the first major international side totour the country after the attack on Sri Lankan team bus in 2009.
Since then, the International Cricket Council (ICC) World XI, Sri Lanka andWest Indies have visited the country for T20I matches.
