ISLAMABAD: West Indian cricket board appointed former Pakistanileg-spinner, Mushtaq Ahmed as the new bowling coach.
Agency representing him confirmed the news on Tuesday and said thatPakistan Leg spinner will likely to join the West Indies cricket team thismonth on a short-term appointment which can be converted into a long-termposition.
Prior to this, Mushtaq Ahmed has worked with different team including inthe Pakistan Super League, Indian Premier League, Surrey as well as theEnglish Cricket Board. During his tenure with England as a spin consultantfor six years, the team won the T20 World Cup and multiple Ashes.
While talking to media, Mushatq Ahmed said that it is an honor to work withthe West Indies cricket team and adding that WI got a real talent andcricket loving people.
Currently Mushtaq Ahmed has been working with the Pakistan Cricket Board asthe head coach of Pakistan Cricket Academy.
