RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa confirmed deathsentences awarded to 11 hardcore terrorists. Besides, 3 convicts have alsobeen awarded imprisonment.

These terrorists were involved in heinous offences related to terrorism,i.e. attacking Armed Forces/ Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan, MalakandUniversity, destruction of various educational institutions and killing ofinnocent civilians including Mr Imran Khan Mohmind, a Member of ProvincialAssembly (KPK).

On the whole, they were involved in killing of 60 persons including 36civilians, 24 Armed Forces/Frontier Constabulary/ Police Officials andinjuring 142 others.Arms and explosives were also recovered from their possession. Theseconvicts were tried by special military courts.
