*ISLAMABAD: *National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd)Javed Iqbal has responded back to the allegations leveled by CM PunjabShabaz Sharif.
He on Wednesday said the the bureau is keeping an eye on malpracticesacross the country and not just in Punjab.
“There is no doubt that NAB is keeping an eye on Pakistan and not justPunjab. Our priority is to ensure across the board accountability, and nospecial treatments would be bestowed upon anyone,” NAB chairman said whilespeaking at a meeting in Islamabad headquarters.
Earlier on Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had said that NAB“is keeping an eagle eye on Punjab” and that the bureau must hold everyoneaccountable on merit and avoid “double standards.”
During the meeting, NAB chairman added that the bureau’s priority is toeliminate corruption from the country and to recover looted money fromcorrupt elements.
