ISLAMABAD – Chaudhry Nisar on Monday has taken important decision ofcontesting elections as independent candidate from three to fourconstituencies.
He announced to contest upcoming general elections from threeconstituencies.
The former minister said that he will contest elections from one NationalAssembly and two Provincial Assembly seats.
The disgruntled PML-N leader said that he will contest from NationalAssembly seat NA-59 and Provincial Assembly seats PP0-10 and PP-14.
Ch Nisar further said that he will take the decision to contest electionfrom NA-63 after consultations with the local party leaders.
Previously, the former interior minister and former close confident of theelder Sharif said that he had been handling matters developing over thepast few months silently and had decided to stay away from the new cabinetled by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
Nisar has been quietly working on a plan to contest upcoming elections asan independent candidate. He also shared a survey conducted in his nativeconstituency with his close friends, which suggested that at least 70percent of the area voters wanted Nisar to contest the next elections as anindependent candidate.
