CM Shahbaz Sharif receives a call from Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan

LAHORE: Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Punjab ChiefMinister Shahbaz Sharif.

Erdogan congratulated Shahbaz for assuming the office of PML-N presidentand prayed for an early recovery of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.

The chief minister in tweet said he thanked the Turkish for his best wishesand kind words, adding, “We wish him success in the upcoming elections.”Earlier in the day on Friday, Shahbaz Sharif said a network of modernhospitals had been spread across the province and high-quality medicineswere being provided in public sector facilities.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of a 100-bed Tehsil HeadquartersHospital costing Rs 555 million at Kahna Nau in the outskirts of theprovincial capital, the chief minister said the political opponents wereunnerved because they had not done anything in their provinces.

Both PTI and PPP were the two sides of the same coin and had been lying dayand night, he added. “[Asif Ali] Zardari and [Imran Khan] Niazi have joinedhands and Bilawal House and Bani Gala have harmonised,” he remarked.
