LAHORE – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has hit back atcritics over his pro active involvement in the government departmentaffairs.

He said that he will never sit silent after seeing the problems of peopleliving in Pakistan. Addressing a ceremony in Lahore, CJP said, “We aredoing the work which government should do.” He also thanked the lawyers forhanging his picture in the bar association for the first time.

Earlier today, CJP Saqib Nisar visited Punjab Institute of Mental Healthand met with patients.

During the visit, CJP inspected health facilities in different wardsincluding emergency and discussed the problems of the patients. He alsobarred everyone from calling the hospital as mental asylum.

The emergency incharge briefed the CJP about the facilities after which,the top judge assured the patients to not get worried about anything.

He also went to Services Hospital to review the arrangements there.
