ISLAMABAD – The incumbent government will present its sixth consecutiveFederal Budget for the next financial year in National Assembly on Fridaywith an estimated outlay of over 5 trillion rupees.

It is expected that government employees may get a salary hike between fiveto ten per cent in the last budget of the PML N government.

The National Assembly has been summoned to meet tomorrow at 16:30 hours forpresentation of the federal budget.

The budget will lend focus on improving economic growth, maintaining fiscaldiscipline, boosting exports besides providing relief to the masses andpromoting investment for job creation.

It will also focus on social sector development and revenue enhancementmeasures.

On revenue side, the government would introduce measures for bringingimprovement in the system of tax collection, broadening the tax base, andfacilitation to tax payers.
