PESHAWAR – The Jamaat-e-Islami has finally taken a decision over its 5Years alliance with the PTI.
JI has decided to quit the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led provincialgovernment in Khyber Pakhtunkwa (KP).
JI Peshawar chapter chief Mushtaq Ahmed Wednesday confirmed that the partyhad decided to quit the alliance with the PTI in the province. He addedthat the JI minister would tender their resignations next week.
He said that the decision had not been made on the basis of “differences”.”We will continue to support the provinical government,” he said, addingthat the decision was not aimed at weakening the ruiling PTI in theprovince.
The announcement came four days after JI chief Siraj Haq claimed that thePTI had voted for Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani after an “order from thetop.”
Two days ago, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak clarifiedthat the “order from top” meant Bani Gala [the name of the place where PTIchief Imran Khan’s resides].
