ISLAMABAD – China link> has send a clearmessage to India over Kashmir ahead of the PM Modi much hyped visit to Chinalink> . Chinese Defence Minister, WeiFenghe Tuesday said that Chinalink>supportedPakistan’s stance over longstanding Kashmir issue, which was pendingunresolved for the last 70 years.
that China link> and Pakistan Defenceand military cooperation was the pillar of all-weather strategiccooperative partnership between the two countries.
He made these remarks while talking to visiting Defence Minister, EngrKhurram Dastgir Khan in a meeting held there, said a press release receivedhere.
He said that all-weather partnership and the defence military cooperationbetween the two countries helped maintain a strategic balance in theregion. Federal Minister for Defense discussed ways and means to furtherstrengthen defence cooperation between the two countries.
He also briefed the Chinese Defence Minister about the latest situation inIndian Occupied Kashmir and massive human rights violations by Indiantroops against the innocent Kashmiris.
The Chinese Defence Minister acknowledged the unprecedented sacrifices madeby the Armed Forces and people of Pakistan during the ongoing fight againstthe menace of terrorism. Meanwhile, Federal Minister met with DefenceMinister of Belarus, Andrei Ravkov on the sidelines of SCO DefenceMinisters meeting here. Both the countries discussed bilateral Defence andmilitary cooperation during the meeting.
They agreed to further broaden and deepen the Defence cooperation and saidthis cooperation should be visible in the bilateral relations of the twocountries. The Minister is visitingChinalink> on an official visit to attend ameeting of the Defence Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO).
The SCO, an inter-governmental organization, founded in China’s Shanghai onJune 15, 2001, now includes China link> ,Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Indiaas full members. Pakistan and India were admitted as full members of theorganisation at the summit in Astana last year.
