DUBAI – Budget carrier flydubai has denied reports of an attempt to hijackone of its planes over Iranian airspace and said the incident was theresult of an unruly passenger’s behavior.

The airlines said that confirmed that flight FZ301, which was flying fromDubai to Kabul, had returned as a result of one passenger’s behavior onflight.

The passenger was reportedly taken off the aircraft by authorities uponarrival of the plane back to Dubai. The passengers resumed their flightwhich left Dubai International Airport at 08:31 am.

The company said it was aware of the false reports on social media, addingthat the incident is currently the focus of an investigation and indicatedthat they would provide more updates when additional information is madeavailable.
