ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is hosting three day Shanghai CooperationOrganization–Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (SCO-RARRTS) Legal Expertsmeeting in Islamabad from tomorrow( Wednesday).

This is the first ever SCO meeting being held in Pakistan since becomingmember of SCO in June last year.

Legal Experts from the eight member states of China, Kazakhstan,Kyrgyzstan, India, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Pakistan, as well asrepresentatives of the SCO-RATS Executive Committee will participate in themeeting. They will discuss terrorist threats facing the region and ways andmeans to enhance counter terrorism cooperation between SCO member states.

In a statement, Foreign Office says Pakistan supports SCO’s efforts forregional cooperation in fighting terrorism, drug trafficking and organizedcrime.

It says Pakistan is ready to share experiences in tackling the menace ofterrorism.
