ISLAMABAD – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has estimated that anamount of Rs 20 billion will be spent on the general elections 2018.
Sources said that the government has assured to provide funds as demandedby the ECP.
They said that over Rs 2.5 billion will be spent on purchase and printingof special-featured ballot papers, while Rs 6-7 billion are likely to bespent on remuneration of the election duty.
According to the break-up, a sum of over Rs one billion has been allocatedfor security.
Meanwhile, the provincial elections commissioners have sent the data ofpolling stations and polling booths.
As many as 85,252 polling stations and 241,132 polling booths will beestablished for the general elections.
