ISLAMABAD: National Security Committee (NSC) chaired by Prime MinisterShahid Khaqan Abbasi was held in Islamabad today.
NSC on Saturday evening reviewed the Indian army’s ceasefire violationalong Line of Control.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, thechiefs of Armed Forces, Director-General of the Inter-Services Intelligence(ISI) among others were in attendance. The meeting resumed after abrief adjournment, informed sources.
Matters pertaining to national and regional security as well as the bordersituation came under discussion in the high-level huddle. The participantsof the meeting discussed the prospect of raising Indian violations of theLoC on releveant diplomatic forums.
It was the second NSC meeting called during the week.
The members of the meeting were also briefed on the measures being taken bythe armed forces in preventing terror financing.
The premier was told that Pakistan is fulfilling its responsibility inlight of The Financial Action Taken Force’s (FATF) recommendations.
