LAHORE: Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has responded to the news ofVerbal fight with the close aide of former PM Nawaz Sharif.

He on Thursday dismissed rumors that he had indulged in verbal fight withSenator Asif Kirmani.

Rafique posted the message on popular microbloggin website Twitter.

“Dr. Asif Kirmani is a close aide and a respectable personality. There wasno fight with him. News—emerging on media in this regard—stand parallel tofacts”, asserted Rafique.

He further added, “We all are torchbearers of slogan respect the vote.PML-N stands united under leadership of Nawaz Sharif”.

Rafique-Kirmani scuffle

Well-informed sources revealed that Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiqueand Senator Asif Kirmani—during the same huddle—were indulged in heatedarguments.

Kirmani accused Rafique of revealing parties’ secrets at some other places.Hearing this, Rafique lodged strong protest with Nawaz Sharif while statingthat he did not deserve such reward was given to him [read Saad Rafique]for his decades-old political struggle.

“Your [Nawaz Sharif] personal servants are tarnishing my image”, Rafiquecomplained Sharif. To this, Kirmani replied he wasn’t personal servant ofanyone rather a stalwart and loyal aide.
