Pervaiz Musharraf reacts over Nawaz Sharif Mumbai attacks controversy

ISLAMABAD – Former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf has spilled beansover Kargil war and Mumbai attacks.

He said that former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)supremo Nawaz Sharif’s statement pertaining to 2011 Mumbair attack wasdeplorable.

In a video message, he said that he briefed former premier Nawaz Sharif twotimes on Kargil, adding that the PML-N supremo had said we should wavePakistan’s flag in Srinagar.

Musharraf said that Pakistan’s armed forces had an uper hand on Indianforces at five points during Kargil war.

He went on to say that New Delhi pressurised PML-N government through USfollowing which then prime minister Nawaz Sharif ordered armed forces towithdraw from the US.

“Sharif’s order to withdraw from Kargil was a wrong intiative,” theex-president said and added PML-N leader Zafarul Haq and Pakistan MuslimLeague-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudjry Shujaat had opposed the withdrawal.

He said that Nawaz Sharif had accused him of withdrawing forces from Kargil.

Musharraf further said that Pakistan wasn’t involved in Mumbai attack,adding that the ex-PM was giving statements as he is facing cases.
