BANNU: A policeman was martyred and 13 others were injured after anImprovised Explosive Device (IED) exploded on Friday at General Bus Standof Bannu.

Police told media that the citizens and policemen were included in theinjured persons and they were shifted to District Headquarters HospitalBannu.

Police reached the site and cordon off the area and started collectingevidences from the site.

Bannu District in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is located close to NorthWaziristan Agency of Federally Administered Tribal Areas where incidents ofsecurity personnel being target have been recently reported.
