*ISLAMABAD: Minister of Statistics Kamran Michael is in hot waters forallegedly accumulating assets beyond his known sources of income.*
A probe has been initiated by NAB against the minister for allegedlyamassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Sources said the minister allegedly accumulated assets during his stint asMinister for Ports and Shipping and bureau’s Karachi and Lahore officeshave begun gathering evidences in this regard.
Michael held the portfolio of Minister for Ports and Shipping from 2013 to2016.
It is pertinent to mention here that NAB had earlier filed a referenceagainst former finance minster Ishaq Dar levelling similar charges againsthim.
Dar has been declared proclaimed offender over his perpetual absence fromthe trial proceedings conducted by an accountability court against him forallegedly for amassing wealth.
