UNITED NATIONS: The United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has appealed to the parties of Yemen conflict to refrain from further escalation as it adversely impacts chances of peace.
In a statement, he denounced the recent sharp escalation in the conflict after exchange of air strikes and ballistic missile attacks between Saudi-led coalition and Houthi rebels.
The Secretary-General urged all parties of the conflict to uphold international humanitarian law and take steps for protecting civilians. APP
