*ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted thatthe moon, marking the advent of Shawwal month, is likely to be sighted onthe evening of **June 15 (Friday), meaning that Eid-ul-Fitr will becelebrated on June 16 (Saturday) across Pakistan*.
There are very thin chances of the Shawwal moon to be sighted on June 14(Thursday), according to the Met department.
May 17 marked the beginning of the holy month of Ramazan in Pakistan.People across the country have been observing the month of Ramadan withutmost piety and devotion.
While in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the crescent was notsighted on May 15 (Thursday). Therefore, the month of Ramazan in thesecountries and elsewhere in the world began on the same day as in Pakistan.
