ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has taken the oath from a six-membercaretaker federal cabinet appointed by interim prime minister Justice(retd) Nasirul Mulk was on Tuesday.

The oath taking ceremony of the interim cabinet was held at the PresidentHouse in Islamabad.

According to details, former governor of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)Shamshad Akhtar, former Pakistan ambassador to the United Nations AbdullahHussain Haroon, former senator Roshan Khursheed Bharucha, Mohammad YousufSheikh, Mohammad Azam Khan, and Syed Ali Zafar were included in the interimfederal cabinet.

Haroon will be given the portfolio of foreign ministry while Akhtar will bethe finance minister in the caretaker setup.

The caretaker cabinet will serve until a new government is elected throughthe 2018 general election scheduled for July 25.
