KARACHI: Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair has said that journalism is the fourth pillar of the state and serves as the bridge between people and governments to point out the injustices and problems to be resolved by the concerned.
This he said while talking to a delegation of Korangi Press Club that called on him at the Governor House in Karachi.
The Governor said that 25th July is one of the most important days in the history of country as people will elect their representatives on this day for the next five years.
He said that a good and visionary leadership can lead the country towards development and prosperity and it is the responsibility of our journalists to present a true picture of the matters in front of the people to help them choose better and responsible people to run the country.
The Governor said that Pakistan gives complete freedom of expression and gone are the days when you could suppress the voice of the media and journalists.
He was of the view that media is playing an equally important role in the country’s development and this is why steps are being taken to resolve the issues of journalists’ community and for their welfare.
