Amir Liaqat Hussain likely to quit PTI: Sources

ISLAMABAD – Aamir Liaquat Hussain is likely to quit PTI as he has beenrefused the ticket from Karachi.

He is disappointed on not being allotted a ticket by the PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to contest the 2018 general elections from Karachi.

Liaquat, who joined Imran Khan’s party earlier this year, tweeted on Sundaythat he has been refused a ticket by PTI’s Karachi leader Firdous ShamimNaqvi.

The disgruntled leader said he considered PTI his home, and will take adecision about his political future on Monday.

He also warned the PTI workers against misbehaving with him, asking them to‘remain in their limit’ on social media. “The issue is not just about theticket, but Karachi city’s political awareness … I do not even desire theticket. I only referred to it due to the [PTI] chairman’s pursuance,” headded.

A former MNA and state minister, Liaquat left the Muttahida Qaumi Movement(MQM) in 2016.
