Local security forces vehicle hit with terrorist strike in North Waziristan

PESHAWAR: A political Moharrar was killed and three personnel of Khasadarforces were injured when terrorists attacked an official vehicle at KamSaroobi area on Razmak Road in North Waziristan late on Friday night.

One Khasadar forces official has disappeared and is believed to have beenkidnapped by terrorists.

The official at Miranshah, headquarters of North Waziristan informed thatHamid Ullah Kabalkhel along with personnel of Khasadar forces was onroutine patrolling when their vehicle was ambushed by unknown terrorists atKam Saroobi, Warsak Road.

As a result of the firing, Hamid Ullah Kabalkhel was killed on the spotwhereas three personnel of khasadar forces were injured.

The injured personnel were identified as Bahar Ud Din, Hazrat Ullah andAkhtar Gul. They were admitted to the Agency Headquarter HospitalMiranshah. The official also confirmed missing of one soldier of KhasadarForces, who might be abducted by alleged militants.

The killed official was the nephew of Jamiat Ul Ulema Islam (JUI-F) leaderAbdul Rahman.

Earlier, at least eight persons fell victims of target killing whereasunknown militants have also blown up two girls middle schools in Mirali SubDivision through explosive materials. In the same Mirali area, handwrittenleaflets were distributed directing parents to not send girls to schools,threatening them with dire consequences otherwise.

In the recent military action Zarb-e-Azab, security forces not onlyretrieved the leftover arms from abandoned houses but the government hasalso imposed a ban on arms possession and exhibition.

As a result, the common tribesmen facing insecurity and tribal eldersdemanding a lifting of the ban on arms possession for self-protection.However, arms collection, impounding and ban on its possession resulted ina sharp reduction in casualties in traditional tribal feuds.
