ISLAMABAD – Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan is providingfully-funded scholarships to outstanding engineers aspiring to pursueMaster’s and Ph.D. at the Xian Jiaotong University (XJTU), China. XJTU is aleading research university, directly administered by the Chinese Ministryof Education.
The scholarships are available for the 2018-19 academic year. The programwill kick off in September of this year, where successful candidates willbe awarded fee exemption and will also avail a stipend to cover livingexpenses during the course of the program. Currently, HEC is offering sixscholarship for Master’s program and four seats are being offered for thePh.D. program.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be a national ofPakistan or Azad Jammu & Kashmir. For the Master’s program, 16 years ofeducation with a first division is mandatory and for the doctoral degree,the applicant must have completed 18 years of education and demonstratedresearch achievements.
The Master’s program is being offered in Mechanical Engineering, ElectricalEngineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Nuclear Science andTechnology, Power Engineering & Engineering Thermophysics, Aeronautical andAstronautic Science and Technology, Materials Science and Engineering andMechanics.
Majors for the Ph.D. program include Mechanical Engineering, MaterialScience and Technology, Power Engineering & Engineering Thermophysics,Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering,Mechanics, Management Science and Engineering and Business Administration.
