MOSCOW – Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu revealed that the country’sAir Force used the fifth generation Su-57 fighter jet in Syria mission.

Shoygu said that the Russian air force used the Su-57 fighter jet whilecarrying out airstrikes over several militant targets inside Syria inFebruary 2018, the AMN reported.

In particular, Shoygu revealed that the Su-57 fighter jet had fired theRussian military’s most modern cruise missile, Kh-59MK2, during it briefoperation in past winter.

Also, a Syrian military source told the AMN that the Su-57 was primarilyused in the Northern Hama.

The source added that the Russian aircraft had repeatedly bombed Jeishal-Izzah’s positions inside the towns of Kafr Zita and al-Latamina.
