ISLAMABAD – Election Commission of Pakistan is currently engaged in theprocess of receiving and compiling lists of candidates vying for the seatsof National and Provincial Assemblies’ seats.

ECP officials told our correspondent that the consolidation of data willtake some time.

Election Commission of Pakistan has constituted a five member larger benchto review the matter of holding provincial assembly elections in FATA alongwith the rest of the country.

The hearing will be held on 2 July.

ECP has summoned the petitioner Muttahida Qabail Party.

Oon the other hand, the Election Commission of Pakistan has approved thetransfers and postings in Punjab, Sindh and Islamabad.

According to details, in Punjab 260 postings have been approved in Sindh,207 transfers and postings have been approved while the ECP has also givenapproval of postings of 20 officers in Islamabad Capital Territory Police.
