SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, pro-freedom leaders including Syed Ali Gilani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq have extended congratulations to Recep Tayyip Erdogan after he emerged winner in the presidential elections in Turkey.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar praised Tayyip Erdogan’s moral support to Kashmiri cause and hope that he will play a pivotal and impressive role for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a tweet said that people of Kashmir and Palestine had high hopes from Turkey as this country had always advocated the resolution of both the issues as per the wishes and aspirations of the peoples of the two regions.
