LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid President and former prime ministerChaudhry Shujaat Hussain has expressed grave concerns over the statement ofElection Commission of Pakistan (ECP) secretary which he has given duringbriefing to the Senate Standing Committee on Interior that internationalforces want to sabotage 2018 election and he is ready to give in a camerabriefing about these dangers.

PMLQ President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Sunday said that the ECPsecretary should tell real facts to the people as to which internationalforces are involved in this evil conspiracy. He said that the caretakergovernment should take immediate notice of this and the Chief Justiceshould also take notice because he apprehends that by involving the Army inthe electoral process an attempt will be made to destroy its reputation.

He said plan of the international forces by getting rigging done withelectoral responsibilities entrusted to 350,000 troops to directly involvethe Army in it, saying of the Election Commission that responsibility ofprinting of ballot papers will also be given to the Army amounts to notlearning any lesson from the past.

Shujaat Hussain expressed the apprehensions that the same conspiring forcespresently have also made inroads in the political parties. He said this isnot happening for the first time, this conspiracy was also hatched in 2013when US Vice President Joe Biden, former secretary of state Senator JohnKerry and former secretary of defense Chuck Hagel came to Chaudhry ParvezElahi in “our house in Lahore and categorically stated that if your partywins the election, US will not accept the results. I have also mentionedthis conspiracy in detail in my book also which proves that external forceshave been involved in Pakistan politics earlier on as well”.
