HYDERABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has summoned DirectorGeneral Rangers Sindh, Inspector General Police and provincial heads ofMilitary Intelligence, Inter-Services Intelligence and Intelligence Bureauat the Supreme Court Karachi Registry on June 24 (today) in the missingpersons case.
The top judge issued these orders during his visit to district courts inLarkana on Saturday, where some people came up to him with complaints oftheir relatives being missing and their whereabouts still unknown, said apress release issued by the Supreme Court.
Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar in his visit to district courts met judges,lawyers and litigants and witnessed court proceedings, inspected casefiles, observed court procedures and heard in detail grievances of peopleand hardships faced by litigants and lawyers and facilities extended tothem in court premises. He also visited judicial lockup and heardcomplaints and issues of under trial prisoners.
He also directed the judges to decide cases expeditiously in accordancewith law and asked lawyers to appear in cases regularly and avoid undue andfrequent adjournments. During the court proceedings, the top judgequestioned the judges presiding over the courts and pointed out theshortcomings and discrepancies.
