*LAHORE: *The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman was asked bythe bureau’s Lahore office to take steps required to place the names of 23bureaucrats on the Exit Control List (ECL).

The 23 bureaucrats were believed to be close associates of the Shariffamily.

Moreover, the bureaucrats allegedly misused their authority and wereinvolved in various corruption cases, according to a NAB spokesperson.

The spokesperson also said that a list had been prepared pertaining toofficers that enjoyed close proximity with the Sharif family and the perksand privileges given to those officers.

Persons on the list reportedly include Primary and Secondary HealthSecretary Ali Jan Khan, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) City developmentpartners Malik Asif, Mian Tahir Javed, Abdul Rasheed Ahmed, Shahid Shafiqand Ibrahim Bhatti, Paragon City Finance Director Farhan Ali and ManagerShahzad Waheed, Quaid-i-Azam Solar Power Plant (QASPP) Chief ExecutiveOfficer (CEO) Najam Shah, Power Development Company (PDC) CEO Syed FarrukhShah, Gujranwala Waste Management Company CEO Wasim Ajmal and formerFaisalabad Industrial Company (FIC) chairman Muhammad Aslam Qasim.
