SBP sends list of 100 candidates as Bank Defaulters, including former FM Hina Rabbani Khar

ISLAMABAD – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday sent a list of 100candidates to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) after declaringthem as bank defaulters.

According to sources, the SBP sent this report to the ECP and electioncommission started scrutiny of all the candidates. The report has been sentto the concerned returning officers.

some of the prominent defaulters have been identified as follows a PakistanPeople’s Party’s (PPP) Hina Rabbani Khar (bank defaulter in NA 182), HaroonBilour (NA 31), Asadullah Bhutto (NA 242), Haroon Ahsan (NA 85), AsadHassan (NA 95), and Almas Khakwani (Rs 319 million defaulter).

Meanwhile, Hina Rabbani Khar’s husband has defaulted on bank loansamounting to Rs 517 million. The SBP has sent the defaulters’ list to ECPfor further action.
