ISLAMABAD – Maryam Nawaz husband Captain (r) Safdar’ name was placed on theExit Control List (ECL) over the ccountability court’s decision inAvenfield reference.
According to the sources, the Ministry of Interior has put the name ofPakistan Muslim League leader on Exit Control List (ECL). Sources said theInterior Ministry had sent a notification to the Federal InvestigationAgency (FIA) Immigration in this regard.
After that, Captain Safdar was included in the black list and he cannottravel abroad.
On Friday, Nawaz’s son-in-law Capt (retd) Safdar has been given a one yearsentence without any fine by the NAB court. Following the verdict, Safdarstand barred from contesting the July general election from Lahore andMansehra, respectively.
Earlier yesterday before the court’s decision, Safdar said he does not fearany verdict against him, adding that he will be exonerated in the court ofpublic opinion.
