LAHORE – Counter Terrorism Department arrested four terrorists ofproscribed Tehreek Taliban Pakistan, in intelligence based operation inBahawalpur today.

According to an official of CTD, the four terrorists had reached SouthPunjab with a big terrorism plan to hit some politicians and personnel of asensitive agency working in the field.

They were waiting for arrival of a suicide bomber and had also planned tolaunch several attacks by making Bahawalpur as their launching pad.

The CTD also recovered hand grenades, one rocket along with arms andammunition, maps of sensitive installations, and motivational literature ofTTP.

Meanwhile, Punjab Inspector General of Police has announced big reward forthe teams which thwarted the terrorist plan and arrested them.
