LAHORE – The Lahore High Court disqualified PML-N candidate Rana Zahid fromcontesting the elections from NA-146.

The court nullified the verdict of the election appellate tribunal.

Rana Aftab had moved court to stop Rana Zahid from contesting the elections.

Rana Zahid was accused of having a fake degree.

On the other hand, the court dismissed a petition seeking disqualificationof PTI candidate Amjad Joyia.

Waseem Jatt, an independent candidate, had challenged the eligibility ofAmjad Joyia.

Meanwhile, the LHC also disqualified Javed Chaudhry, an independentcandidate from PP-192, from contesting the election.
