Galaxy X: Samsung foldable flagship smartphone unveiled

LONDON – Samsung’s first highly rumoured foldable flagship Galaxy Xlink>isnot made official yet but still, the rumour mill is getting stronger witheach passing day. Every now and then we get to hear about the features inthe speculated Galaxy Xlink>.The recent addition to these rumours is that the Galaxy X will have acurved battery and its capacity will be somewhere between 3,000 mAh to6,000 mAh. 6,000 mAh battery will be a dream battery capacity for powerusers.

The phone is expected to be rolled out in the first quarter of 2019 and isexpected to be Samsung’s answer to Apple’s iPhone X. The foldable Galaxy Xbattery is developed by Samsung SDI. It is V-shaped and gives a kind ofcurving effect. The device is said to have three display panels, two on theinside and one residing on the outside. The outer display would reportedlybe 4.5 inches in size while the inner two together would make a whole 7.3inches screen upon unfolding the device.

However, don’t get excited just yet. Samsung Galaxy X won’t be anythingnear cheap. In fact, the smartphone is expected to be above $1,800, farmore than the current high-end mobile phones. Also, do keep in mind thatnothing is officially confirmed as of yet, so the price and the releasedate could possibly vary.

However, Samsung is not the only player, who is soon to conquer thesmartphone market with the foldable phones. There are other smartphonegiants who have joined the Samsung’s race such as Huawei, LG, Apple andMotorolla. Just last week, we reported to you that Microsoft is alsoplanning to launch its foldable phonelink>whichcan support up to 5 positions.
