ANKARA – Turkey has issued a decree today transferring some powers to thePresident.

The decree, issued in the country’s Official Gazette, brought about changesin laws dating from 1924 to2017 changing references to the Prime Ministerand Cabinet of Ministers to the President and his office.

The decree was issued in line with the country’s move to an executivePresidential system brought about by last month’s Presidential andParliamentary elections.
