ISLAMABAD – Commander Royal Bahrain Naval Force, Commodore Mohammed YousifAl Asam called on Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi atNaval Headquarters, Islamabad on Wednesday.

Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, Commander Royal Bahrain Naval Force wasreceived by the CNS Chief of the Naval Staff. A smartly turned outcontingent of Pakistan Navy clad in ceremonial dress presented him guard ofhonour. The visiting dignitary was then introduced to Chiefs of Staff andPrincipal Staff Officers at Naval Headquarters.

Later, Commodore Mohammed Yousif Al Asam called on Chief of the Naval Staffin his office, where discussions on professional matters and bilateralnaval collaboration were held. Various avenues of cooperation between thetwo Navies were focused.

Pakistan’s commitment and performance in fight against terrorism includingPakistan Navy’s contribution towards regional maritime security were alsohighlighted. Commander Royal Bahrain Naval Force highly appreciated therole and contributions of Pakistan Navy in maintaining peace and stabilityin the region.

The call was followed by a comprehensive brief given to the visitingdignitary on Pakistan Navy’s perspective on regional issues and PNcontributions towards peace and stability in the maritime domain.

In the second leg of his visit, Commodore Mohammed Yousif Al Asam isscheduled to visit Pakistan Navy Field Commands at Lahore and Karachi.

The visit of Commander Royal Bahrain Naval Force is expected to furtherstrengthen the bilateral collaboration between the two Navies.
