ISLAMABAD – Advanced satellite flood warning radar system has been madeoperational at Head Marala Barrage over River Chenab near Sialkot.

Senior officials Irrigation Department said the advanced satellite floodwarning radar system had full capacity to issue flood warning about 36hours before the flood.

They said the system would also be helpful in saving the villages along thebanks of River Chenab and Bela Areas from flood
