ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday has takennotice of alleged corruption and delay in completion of Peshawar Metro Busproject and announced to investigate the matter.
NAB chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal while taking notice of allegedcorruption in Peshawar Metro Bus project ordered an investigation into thematter.
The anti-graft watchdog said that the cost of the project has increasedfrom Rs49 billion to Rs64 billion but the project hasn’t completed.
The Bureau will determine those responsible for the delay in the completionof the project and the responsibility of increase in cost.
On the other hand, the anti-graft agency has also initiated probe againstthree key departments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the PTI-led governmentcompleted its tenure.
