ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharifmet with elder brother Nawaz Sharif in hospital.

He arrived at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) to inquireafter the health of Nawaz Sharif.

According to sources, the former Punjab chief minister had a meeting withNawaz Sharif that lasted for about 15 minutes. Two men accompanied Shehbazto the building but were not allowed to enter Nawaz’s ward.

Doctors at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) earliersuggested that Nawaz Sharif to be shifted to another hospital, insisting aproper treatment is not impossible due to lack of medical history.

Nawaz, 68, was shifted to PIMS from Adiala jail after doctors expressedconcern over his health, saying he may be suffering from a heart problem.

The medical board headed by Dr Ejaz Qadeer and comprising cardiologist DrNaeem Malik, Medical Specialist Dr Shaji Siddiqui, neurologist Dr SohailTanvir and Dr Mashood carried out medical checkup of the former PM after hecomplained about pain in his arm and chest.

Caretaker Punjab Home Minister Shaukat Javed said on state-run PakistanTelevision (PTV) that doctors had advised his transfer to hospital after anelectrocardiogram had shown “variations”.
