ISLAMABAD – JI Chief Siraj ul Huq has parted ways with MMA Chief MoulanaFazal.ur Rehman and has decided to join the national and provincialassemblies.
Earlier MMA had decided against taking oath and sitting in the Parliament.
Yesterday a delegation comprising senior leaders of the Pakistan People’sParty (PPP) on Sunday met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana FazlurRehman to discuss post-election scenario.
Addressing a press conference, former prime minister Yusuf Raza Gillanireiterated his party’s demand for resignation of the chief electioncommissioner.
Gillani said PPP was in favour of addressing reservations in parliament,adding that his party met Fazl in order to change his mind over not takingoath in parliament.
The JUI-F chief, on the occasion, announced an All Parties Conference andsaid all recommendations would be discussed on Monday.
Fazl in an APC had rejected election results and, alongside Awami NationalParty (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali, came up with the suggestion of not takingoath in parlaiment.
