ISLAMABAD – Balochistan Awami Party* female candidate Zubaida Jalal* hascreated history after she was elected as the only women candidate forNational Assembly from Balochistan.

Jalal contested and won the NA-271 Kech and Turbat seat on the BalochistanAwami Party’s ticket.

She beat BNP-Awami’s Syed Ahsan Shah by getting 32,886 votes to his 20,583.

Jalal served as the federal education minister in then prime ministerShaukat Aziz’s cabinet.
