ISLAMABAD – Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR) Director General Maj-GenAsif Ghafoor on Wednesday thanked Pakistanis for rejecting ‘malicious’propaganda.
In his tweet DG ISPR said, “Thank you fellow Pakistanis. World has seenyour love & respect for Pak Armed Forces & LEAs today.”
“You have rejected all kinds of malicious propaganda. We are strong becausewe have your unflinching support. Our lives are dedicated to Pakistan andits People,” he added.
The ISPR DG tweeted after a while when polling closed across Pakistan andvote count got under way.
Pakistan voted on Wednesday to democratic transfer of power in the 11thgeneral election. Polling began at 8AM across the country’s 85,307 pollingstations and continued until 6PM despite calls by several major parties,including PML-N, PPP and PTI, to extend the polling time by an hour.
The nation voted in General Elections 2018 with the key contest being amongPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, Pakistan Muslim League-N(PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples’ Party Bilawal BhuttoZardari’s (PPP).
