ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leader Maryam Aurangzeb onTuesday rejected fake news reported by certain media outlets implying thatthe party chief Nawaz Sharif has struck a ‘deal’, a day before the generalelection.
The former state minister called the reports, ‘shameful’ and an attempt toinfluence the results of the forthcoming polls. She demanded the ElectionCommission of Pakistan to take notice of the baseless campaign against theparty chief.
“Nawaz refused to go to hospital despite going through health issues,” thePML-N spokesperson said. “We categorically reject any such media report.”
She added that the reason behind such reports are intended to disturb theparty workers. “Nawaz is jailed because of his struggle for the respect tovote,” Aurangzeb said.
She said that a historic decision will come on July 25 by the people ofPakistan.
