*ISLAMABAD: Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz met the team oftheir legal counsels at Adiala jail today (Saturday). *

The legal team comprising Nawaz’s counsel Khawaja Haris and Maryam’s lawyerAmjad Pervaiz met their clients Nawaz, Maryam and Captain (retd) SafdarAwan at the Adiala jail.

According to sources, key legal matters were discussed during the meeting.

On Thursday, the meeting between the lawyers and the father-daughter duowas cancelled by authorities at Adiala jail.

However, the meeting of convicts was arranged on the very day with 17members of Sharif family and 23 leaders of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz(PML-N) including Asif Kirmani, Javed Hashmi, Pervaiz Rasheed and AyazSadiq.

An accountability court, in Avenfield corruption reference, awarded 10years prison term to the PML-N supreme leader, while his daughter Maryamand her spouse Capt. Safdar were handed seven years’ and one year’s prisonterm, respectively.

Judge Muhammad Bashir ordered forfeiture of their properties in theAvenfield Apartments and Park Lane of London. He imposed a fine of £8million (approximately Rs1,292m) on the former premier and £2 million(approximately Rs323m) on his daughter.
